Penshurst Dining Table Hand forged steel or solid Bronze, glass with nibbled edge.  Dimensions: H-29”/74cm W-8’/244cm D-4’/122cm    Artists Statement This dramatic piece was inspired by a visit to Penshurst Place in Kent and “Sidney’s Oak’. In the C20th the tree was struck by lightning and so only the lower part of the trunk and the long bottom branches still exist, on the day we visited, the sun was shining in through the top of the tree and out through the hollow in the base, which inspired Mark to under light the piece with low voltage lighting. Currently on display in Fortnum & Masons, Picadilly, London.
